Funny how the Big Man works.

Well, you guys won't believe how I got to this site. I was reading a movie forum in which someone posted a website address that caught my eye. It was www.jesusneverexisted.com and I wanted to see just how much work the guy did to debunk the existence of the Saviour. Well, I have to say, he put a HECK of a lot of effort, but all it did was force me to face my iniquities and first forgive myself before even going to God for forgiveness. Then I went to the guestbook section of the site. Someone posted a link to www.onecourse.org and I clicked on it, thinking that it would be yet another antiChrist website. Well, I was wrong. Now I'm here. It's wonderful being here with educated people that have great conversations and arguments to bring to the table rather than the mindless mudslinging that we see EVERYWHERE else. I love it when people, whether or not they are religious, congregate and converse about all the things in life without resorting to insults and name-calling.

Been a believer for as long as I can remember. I don't remember when I first accepted Christ. I have my Sunday school teacher to thank for that, though, heh. I do have my temporary splits from God, but He manages to pull me back to His side. Constantly bombarded by signs of His works throughout the universe in the form of love and good works and also by signs of His absence in so many peoples' lives in the form of crimes by humans against humans. Current youth group president and representative in the church board. Co-founder and current lead vocalist and acoustic guitar player of church band Rays of Redemption (still doing only cover songs sadly, but we're workin' on it!).

So good to have you on here mate - things are a litte slow right now with the posters, we're in-between One courses, and the Two course is just starting up...dont get disuaded if people are slow to respond...us Brits take a while to get social!

Where abouts in California are you? I've got some mates in LA that I've been to stay with, and i've got to say it's one of the few places other than the UK that I'd love to live in...awesome place.

Good to hear from you mate - be encouraged, you've got some goodstuff to say to us, so keep it coming...even if noone else responds for a while, the next Onecourse starts in 2 weeks, so there'll be plenty of people logging on after that - i hope!

Yeah, I figured things were a little slow when I looked at the time between posts lol. It's okay, though, cuz I'm still young. Got plenty of time on my hands (assuming God doesn't snatch me up there anytime soon).

Yeah, I'm from the L.A. area, too, but further east about 20 miles (32 kilometers) in the suburbs. I'm a big person, I need my space. Urban areas just don't cut it for me lol.

Why is He silent? For the same reason that an innocent defendant stands silent: BECAUSE HE STANDS GUILTY OF NOTHING!!!!!!!

God doesn't have to prove anything. For goodness sake there's proof of His existence EVERYWHERE if you put into account the fact that everything exists by Him, for Him, and through Him.

Whether or not the individual believes in Him or not is up to the individual. God really doesn't have to do anything, but despite just how stupid this creation of His can be, He continues to intervene. It may not be as blatant as it was back in Biblical times, but His works are everywhere in the most subtle of details.
